Seeing Detroit Postcard

$2.00

Take a step back in time with our reprints of historic Detroit postcards. This postcard is based on original postcards produced between 1910 and 1925, and captures a glimpse of the city's past.

Cornell Studios was a photographic studio in Detroit and Toledo at the turn of the century. They specialized in cabinet cards and these curiosities: custom photos turned into postcards for customers to mail. The customer would, after paying a fee, hop in and face the camera from a studio-prop automobile. A print would be made and could be mailed or kept as a souvenir. The result is thousands of different versions of these “Seeing Detroit” postcards. This particular postcard dates circa 1915 and features three women and a child. Our remakes are printed in the USA on high-quality cardstock and measure 4x6 inches. They are perfect for framing, displaying, or sending to friends, family, and those unlucky enough to not live in Detroit.

Whether you're a history buff or just a fan of Detroit, these reprints of historic postcards are a great way to add a touch of nostalgia to your mailbox, home, or office.
